Communitrak allows you to select whether the community or the resident is responsible for covering payment processing fees for certain transactions.  Note that payment processing fees for amenity reservation fees and deposits are always covered by the HOA.

If the HOA is responsible for fees, the payout to the HOA will be equal to the charge amount minus the processing fee. For example, if the charge amount is $10.00, the ACH processing fee will be 24¢. The resident will pay $10.00, and $9.76 will be transferred to your community checking account.

If the resident is responsible for fees, the fee will be added to the total payment amount. Because this increases the overall charge amount, the fee paid by the resident will be a little higher than if management pays the fee. The payout to the HOA will be the exact dollar amount as the initial charge. For example, if the charge amount is $10.00, the ACH processing fee will be 24¢. The resident will pay $10.24, and $10.00 will be transferred to your community checking account.
