Sharing files with residents through messages is a seamless process on Communitrak. Whether it’s a document, image, or any other type of file, you can easily upload and share it with the recipients of your message. This article provides guidance to help you do just that.
Follow the guidance provided in the interactive workflow below to learn how to attach one or more files to a new message, which can then be sent to one or more members or member groups.
Step 1: Upload a File to the Files Module
Before you can share a file, you’ll need to upload it to the Files module. Here’s how:
- Navigate to the Files Module: Log in to Communitrak and tap on ‘Files’ in the main navigation menu.
- Upload the File: Click on the ‘Upload File’ button, and select the file you want to share from your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upload.
Step 2: Select the Checkbox for Each File
Once your files have been uploaded, you can attach them to a message:
- Find the File: Locate the file you’ve just uploaded in the Files module.
- Click the Checkbox: Select the checkbox next to each file you would like to share.
Step 3: Share the Files
Now, you’ll need to compose a new message to share the file:
- Click “Share”: Once at least one file has been checked, a banner will appear at the bottom of the screen that includes a Share button. Select this button, and then select “Message.”
- Compose a New Message: Selecting the Share button will create a new message with links to the selected files included in the message body automatically.
By following these steps, you can easily share important documents, images, or other files with residents.
