How to Assess a New Charge

This article is for Community Leaders.
If you are a resident of an HOA that uses Communitrak, we invite you to visit the Resident Support section of our website.

There are two methods to assess a new charge:

  1. Bulk Charge to a Group of Residents
  2. Single Charge to a Resident

New Bulk Charge to a Group of Residents

If you are assessing the same charge and amount to all residents or a group of residents, we recommend using the New Bulk Charge method. An example scenario for this method would be assessing HOA dues in the amount of $1000 to every household for the year 2023. Another example would be assessing Community Club membership dues to every member of the Community Club member group.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to assess a bulk charge to a group of residents:

New Single Charge to Resident

If you need to assess a one-off charge to a single resident, follow the steps outlined in this section. An example scenario for this method would be assessing a special assessment to only John Smith at 123 Water Road.
