A household in Communitrak represents a group of members who live together at a property. The Households page provides a central list of every household in the community, and each household's detail page is where you manage addresses, members, status, and finances.
The Households list requires the View Households permission. On a household's detail page, members of that household can also view their own household's transactions and financial information. Heads of household can invite new members to their household. Other management actions require additional permissions. Some options may be unavailable or appear differently depending on your level of account access.
Log in to Communitrak at https://app.communitrak.com.
In the main navigation menu, expand Members & Groups and click Households.

A color-coded icon next to each household name tells you its current state at a glance:
Green checkmark (Active & Activated): the household is active and at least one member has activated their Communitrak account.
Blue checkmark (Active, Not Activated): the household is active but no members have activated their Communitrak account yet.
Gray X (Inactive): the household has been deactivated.
Red trash (Deleted): the household has been deleted.
Tabs across the top of the page let you filter households:
All shows every household.
Active shows only active households.
Inactive shows deactivated households. Requires the Admin View Members permission.
Deleted shows deleted households. Requires the Admin View Members permission.
Use the search bar to find households by name or address. Click Export to download the current list as a CSV file (requires the Export Members permission). Click Columns to open the Customize Columns dialog, where you can toggle columns on or off.
Available columns include:
Household (always visible): household name, address, and status icon.
Members: member count and how many have activated.
Balance and Financial Status: only appear if the Financial module is enabled and you have the appropriate financial permissions.
Join Date: the date the household was added.
Actions (always visible): eye icon to view the household detail.
Click the eye icon in the Actions column, or click the household name, to open the detail page.

The header shows the household name and a pencil icon to Edit Alias. The alias is a custom display name. Leave it blank to use the automatically generated name based on household members. Editing requires the View/Update Household Info permission.
A colored banner indicates the household's status:
Active Household: "Current residents who actively live at this property. They have full access to community features."
Inactive Household: the household has been deactivated and members have reduced access. They’ll still be able to log in to Communitrak to access historical records and make payments but will not be able to access current content.
Click the pencil icon on the banner to open the Update Household Status dialog, where you can switch between Active and Inactive. This requires the Update Household Status permission.
Shows the Property Address (linked to the property detail page) and the Mailing Address. If no mailing address is set, it displays "Same as property address." Both can be edited by clicking their respective pencil icons.
Lists every member of the household with their avatar, name, and role. An Invite Member button appears if you have the Invite Members permission or if you are the head of this household.
Shows recent requests and violations associated with this household.
If the Financial module is enabled, this section shows the household's most recent transactions. Click through to see the full history.
The right column of the detail page displays key facts about the household:
Household ID
PIN (with a refresh button to generate a new one)
Join Date
Amount Due (if Financial module is enabled)
Financial Status (if Financial module is enabled)
Auto Pay (Enabled or Disabled, if Financial module is enabled)
Below the Quick Info card, the Available Actions card groups actions by category. Which actions you see depends on your permissions and whether the Financial module is enabled.

Move Household: reassign the household to a different property. If the target property already has an active household, you'll see a warning.
Delete Household: permanently removes the household. The household must be set to Inactive first, and all members must be removed before it can be deleted.
Setting a household to Inactive reduces access for all of its members. If only one person is leaving and other residents remain, set that individual member as inactive from their profile instead.
Moving a household changes its associated property address but keeps all member records and history intact.
The household PIN can be shared with residents for account activation or verification. Generating a new PIN immediately invalidates the previous one.
