Every resident belongs to a household, which is the group of people who live together at your property. My Household is your own view of that household. It's where you see who lives with you, invite your spouse or another family member to join, update your mailing address, and register vehicles.
Every active member can open My Household and see their own household. Inviting new members, editing the mailing address, and managing other people in the household are limited to the Head of Household. Some options may be unavailable or appear differently depending on your level of account access.
Log in to Communitrak at https://app.communitrak.com.
In the main navigation menu, expand My Household and click Manage Household.
This is how you add another adult who lives with you, such as your wife, husband, partner, adult child, or roommate, so they get their own Communitrak login. You add them once, and their phone number and email go on their own account.
In the main navigation menu, expand My Household and click Manage Household.
Find the Household Members card and click Invite Member.
Enter their First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. All three are required.
Enter their Phone Number if you have it. This is optional, but it lets your community reach them by text for alerts and reminders.
Choose their Role in Household: Household Member or Head of Household.
Click Send Invitation.
They'll get an email with a link to join your household and set up their own Communitrak account. Until they accept, they appear in the Pending Invitations section with a Pending tag.
Their invitation stays in the Pending Invitations section until they accept it. Click the copy icon next to their name to Copy invite link, then text or email that link to them directly. If you need to start over, click the X to cancel the invitation and send a new one.
Once someone has their own Communitrak account, they control their own contact information. To add or change their phone number, they log in and go to My Account → Manage Account, enter the number in the Phone Number section, and click Update Phone. Communitrak sends a verification code to confirm the number belongs to them, which is why someone else can't add it for them.
If they can't get into their account, a Community Leader with the Update Member Contact Info permission can update it from their member profile.
The Household Members card lists everyone in your household with their name, email, and avatar. Tags next to a name tell you their state:
Head: this person is a Head of Household and can invite and manage members.
Pending: they've been invited but haven't activated their account yet.
Inactive: their membership has been deactivated and they no longer have access through this household.
Click a name to open that person's member profile. Click the three-dot menu beside them for the actions available to you.
View Profile opens your member profile.
Leave Household removes you from the household. This is only available if you're active and at least one other active member remains, so a household is never left empty.
Make Head of Household or Set as Household Member changes someone's role in the household. You can't remove the last Head, so promote someone else first if you're stepping back.
Cancel Invitation withdraws a pending invitation.
Deactivate Membership keeps the person's record but removes their access through this household.
Remove from Household takes them out of the household entirely.
Two cards at the top of the page show your addresses.
Property Address is the address of your home within the community, and it's read-only. If it's wrong, contact a Community Leader.
Mailing Address is where your household receives mail. If you haven't set one, your property address is used. To change it, the Head of Household clicks Edit, then either checks Use property address as mailing address or enters the street number, street name, unit, city, state, and ZIP code. Click Save.
The Vehicles tab, next to Manage Household at the top of the page, is where you register the cars kept at your home and add guest vehicles for visitors. Your community may set a limit on how many vehicles a household can register.
A household can have more than one Head of Household. If you and your spouse both want to invite and manage members, set both of you as Head.
Everyone you invite gets their own login. They don't share yours, and each person's phone number, email, and notification preferences are their own.
Children and visitors who don't need a Communitrak account don't have to be invited. For events, add them as guests on the RSVP instead.
If you belong to more than one household, whether in the same community or a different one, My Household shows the one you're currently in. Use the household switcher at the bottom of the main navigation menu to change it.
If you have questions or need help, chat with Communitrak Support from any page using the messenger icon in the bottom-right corner.
