The General tab is the summary view of your community. It shows how big the community is and how many people have actually started using Communitrak, names the person we contact about the account, and lists everyone marked as a community leader.
Seeing this page requires the View General Community Information permission. Editing the point of contact requires Update Community Information. With view access alone the contact fields are visible but greyed out, and the Save button doesn't appear. Some options may be unavailable or appear differently depending on your level of account access.
Log in to Communitrak at https://app.communitrak.com.
In the main navigation menu, expand Community and click General.
Four cards across the top summarize the community. The heading above them is your community's name.
Households: how many active households your community has, with an adoption figure beneath it showing how many of them have at least one person who has activated their Communitrak account.
Residents: your active members who are not marked as community leaders, with the same kind of adoption figure beneath it. The adoption figure counts everyone in the community, including leaders and people whose invitation is still pending, so its total is usually larger than the Residents number.
Leaders: your active members who are marked as community leaders.
Payments: the total value of completed payments your community has processed. This card only appears when the Financial module is enabled.
Adoption is the share of people who have finished setting up their account, not the share of people you've added. A resident who was imported or invited but has never signed in counts toward the total and not toward the activated number.
This is the number to watch during onboarding. Low adoption usually means invitations went out but were missed, so resending them is the quickest fix. Residents and leaders are counted separately, so someone marked as a leader is in the Leaders card rather than the Residents one, and the two numbers together are your full membership.
This is the person Communitrak reaches out to with questions about residents, billing, or other general matters. Keeping it current matters most when your board turns over, since an outdated contact means account messages go to someone who has left.
Fill in the Full Name and Email Address, both of which are required.
Add a Phone and a Role in Community, such as President or Treasurer. Both are optional but useful.
Click Save Information.
Everyone currently marked as a community leader is listed here with their photo, their role, and their title if they have one. An Admin badge marks anyone with administrative access. Click a name to open that person's member profile.
You don't add or remove anyone from this list directly. Community leader is a flag set on each member's profile, separately from the role they hold, and this card reflects whatever those profiles say. If someone is missing, open their profile and mark them as a leader there.
Being marked as a leader changes how someone appears around Communitrak, including the leader badge, the Leaders tab on the member directory, and the Community Leaders card on the Dashboard. It grants no permissions on its own. Permissions come from the member's role.
Households and properties are not the same thing. A property is an address; a household is the group of people living at it. Usually there's one household per property, but a property can hold more than one, so this number won't always match the property count on the Billing tab.
The Payments figure is the all-time total of completed payments, not a figure for the current year or month. For anything more detailed, use the Financial tab and the Payments pages.
The counts reflect active members and active properties. Anyone set to inactive drops out of them.
Nothing on this page is visible to residents. It's a leader view of the community's own record.
