Installing our Progressive Web App (PWA) on your iOS or Android device can streamline your Communitrak experience, making it easier to access your community with just a tap. Below, you'll find simple, step-by-step instructions on how to add the Communitrak app to your device's home screen.
For iOS Devices (iPhone/iPad)
Communitrak does not have a native iOS app; however, our progressive web app provides a similar experience including home screen icon, push notifications, and more.
Open Safari Browser: Start by opening the Safari browser on your iOS device. It's important to use Safari because other browsers may not support the add to home screen feature for PWAs.
Visit the Communitrak Website: Type in https://app.communitrak.com in the Safari address bar and press "Go" to navigate to the Communitrak login screen.
Access the Share Menu: Once the login screen has loaded, tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen. This icon looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards.
Add to Home Screen: In the share menu that appears, scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen."
Rename and Add: You will have the option to rename the app before adding it. You can keep it as "Communitrak" or choose a name you prefer. Tap "Add" in the top right corner once you're ready.
Find the App on Your Home Screen: After tapping "Add," Safari will close and redirect you to your home screen. You should now see the Communitrak app icon. Tapping this icon will directly open the Communitrak app.
Allow Notifications: You'll be prompted to allow notifications. We recommend allowing this as to not miss any updates from your community.
For Android Devices
Communitrak does not have a native Android app; however, our progressive web app provides a similar experience including home screen icon, push notifications, and more.
Open Chrome Browser: Launch the Chrome browser on your Android device. While other browsers might support PWAs, Chrome is known for the best compatibility.
Visit the Communitrak Website: Type https://app.communitrak.com into Chrome's address bar and hit enter to visit the Communitrak application.
Tap the Menu Icon: Look for the menu icon (three dots vertically aligned) in the upper right corner of the screen and tap on it.
Add to Home Screen: From the dropdown menu, select the "Add to Home screen" option. You might need to scroll down to find it.
Rename and Add: A prompt will appear allowing you to rename the app (default is "Communitrak"). After renaming, if desired, tap "Add" or "Add Automatically" to proceed.
Locate the App Icon: Close Chrome and navigate to your home screen or app drawer. You should find the Communitrak app icon. Tapping on this icon will open the Communitrak PWA in Chrome.
