Sharing Files on the Bulletin Board

Learn how to share a files as part of a bulletin board post.

In this article, we’ll discuss two different methods to sharing files and documents uploaded to Communitrak with members using the Bulletin Board.

Sharing a Single File

2. Select "Files" from the main navigation menu.

3. Locate the file you would like to share, and click the three dots.

4. In the dropdown menu, click "Share to Bulletin Board."

5. Provide a subject for the new Bulletin Board post.

6. Provide a message for the new Bulletin Board post.

7. Click "Post."

8. You will now see the Bulletin Board post. An email notification will also be sent to residents that have email notifications for new Bulletin Board posts enabled.


Sharing Multiple Files

2. Navigate to the Files module by clicking "Files" in the main navigation menu.

3. Locate the file you would like to share, and click the three dots.

4. In the dropdown menu, click "File Link & Security."

5. Select the URL text in the box under File Link.

6. Press [Command] + [c] for Mac or [Control] + [c] for Windows to copy the URL to your clipboard.

7. Click "Close"

8. Open a new browser tab and navigate to https://app.communitrak.com. We recommend this as it will allow you to quickly switch between the Files module and the Bulletin Board module while creating your post.

9. Navigate to the Bulletin Board.

10. Click "New Post"

11. Provide a Subject for your new Bulletin Board post.

12. Provide a message for your new post. Include text that will act as a link to the file. We recommend using the file's name to keep things organized.

13. Select the text to convert to a link.

14. Click the Link icon in the editor's bar.

15. Paste the file's link in the URL field, and click Save.

16. The text will now act as a link to the uploaded file.

17. Continue repeating these steps, switching back and forth between browser tabs for Files and Bulletin Board for each file you'd like to share in the post.

18. Once you have all the files listed and the post is ready, click "Post."

19. You will now see the Bulletin Board post. An email notification will also be sent to residents that have email notifications for new Bulletin Board posts enabled.
