Updated over 8 months ago

There are two methods to assess a new charge:

  1. Single Charge to a Resident

  2. Bulk Charge to a Group of Residents

Single Charge to a Resident

If you need to assess a one-off charge to a single resident, follow the steps outlined in this section. An example scenario for this method would be assessing a special assessment to only John Smith at 123 Water Road.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to assess a single charge to a resident:

2. Select "Members & Groups" from the main navigation menu.

3. Click "Community Members"

4. Select a resident from the list of community members.

5. In the "Leader Actions panel," click the "New Charge" button.

6. Provide a description for the charge.

7. Provide an amount for the new charge.

8. Select a due date for the new charge.

9. Click "Save Charge." Note that changes cannot be made after saving the new charge.

10. Click "OK" to close the confirmation message.

New Bulk Charge to a Group of Residents

If you are assessing the same charge and amount to all residents or a group of residents, we recommend using the New Bulk Charge method. An example scenario for this method would be assessing HOA dues in the amount of $1000 to every household for the year 2023. Another example would be assessing Community Club membership dues to every member of the Community Club member group.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to assess a bulk charge to a group of residents:

2. Click "Community" in the main navigation menu.

3. Click "Financial" from the expanded menu under "Community."

4. Click "Bulk Charges" in the Financial Reporting card.

5. Click the "New Bulk Charge" button.

6. Provide a charge description.

7. Provide a charge amount.

8. Select a member group to which the charge will be assessed.

9. Select a due date for the new charge.

10. Click "Save Charge." Note that changes cannot be made after saving.

11. Click "OK" to dismiss the confirmation message.
