Sharing files with residents through messages is a seamless process on Communitrak. Whether it's a document, image, or any other type of file, you can easily upload and share it with the recipients of your message. This article provides guidance to help you do just that.

Before you can share a file, you’ll need to upload it to the Files module.

Step 1: Log in to Your Account

Step 2: Access Files

  • Click on the "Files" option located in the main navigation menu. This will take you to the section where files are stored and managed.

Step 3: Select Files to Share

  • Browse through your files and check the boxes next to the files you wish to share. You can select multiple files for sharing in a single message.

  • Note that the checkbox will only appear once you hover your mouse over the file.

Step 4: Initiate Sharing

  • After selecting the desired files, click the "Share" button in the banner at the bottom of the screen, and then click "Messages."

Step 5: Compose Your Message

  • A new message draft will automatically open with the selected files attached at the bottom. You can see the names of the files you're about to share.

  • Note that deleting the links under "Attached Files" will remove the attached files from the message.

  • Compose your message by adding a recipient and typing your message in the text area provided. The process is similar to writing any standard message within Communitrak, but with the added benefit of having files ready to be sent along with your text.

Step 6: Finalizing and Sending Your Message

  • Once you have composed your message and are ready to share the files, click the "Send" button. Your message, along with the attached files, will be delivered to the selected recipient(s).

By following these steps, you can efficiently share files within your community, facilitating better communication and collaboration in Communitrak.
